Francesca Woodman

One more dead photographer being rediscovered by the media. She took her own life at a tender age of 22, leaving her photographic legacy to her parents to decipher and introduce to the world posthumously.
You can see more of her compelling work here.

I had never heard of this woman before, which is doubly odd as I know a few people--one a photographer--who attended RISD where she studied. You'd think as a known alum, her name would come up in discussions of design and photography. I like the photographs, but as a writer it's hard not to love the book title "Some Disordered Interior Geometries." (We all have some, right?) Thank you for making me aware of her work.
