This week's quote
Every week I put a quote in the shop's window.
From now on I'll post them here as well.
You can read previous quotes in the list on the right.

Today's crop
I opened on a Sunday, which I don't do normally, because it's Pride Day, and the parade went on just down the street, and I thought it won't hurt to be there when a million people are walking by, someone may have an itch to buy something. (Sold 2 items...).
I put a big rainbow flag at my door and my chair outside, sat with my book and watched the world go by.
Quite a few people walked in. A lovely gentleman told me he was leaving on a year's mission to Central America in a week's time, but would pass my card along to his friends. He thought my shop is a great idea and he would come back to see me once before his departure, and as soon as his mission is over.
He told me some things about himself, and what stayed with me is this: " The way the world is today, someone must do something to make it better even if it means risking life. It might as well be me. We must have more love in this world".
I couldn't agree with him more.
